Disclosure: I had the opportunity to partner with Washington Square Mall. In exchange for this recap with images I was given a wonderful photo package.
Washington Square Mall recently reached out to me with an opportunity to partner up and visit their Santa HQ presented by HGTV. Of course they had me at HGTV and Santa. I knew I wanted to get the boys annual Santa photo of the way early this year, so it was really great to see they start just before Thanksgiving. I was also particularly impressed with the fact you can make a reservation for photos vice waiting in line for about 3 hours they way we did last year. That photo still cracks me up, we all look so exhausted and mad. This was just a completely different experience, I think the staff was getting tired of hearing me talk about darling I thought everything looked.
HGTV is sponsoring these events in fifteen places across the country, and wow, they have created a seriously impressive headquarters for Santa and all of his guests. I want to be careful here not to give too much away, so you can relish in the surprises. I will tell you, kids can find out if they are on the nice or naughty list, take “elfies”, and see parents will enjoy seeing their favorite HGTV stars hanging all over the walls.
There were so many fun photo opportunities within SANTA HQ. I honestly left feeling so inspired, the trees and holiday decor were just so beautiful and cheerful. I wanted to run home and getting started on my holiday decorating right then. Santa was so giving of his time to the kids as well, I really feel that is because people reserve their time slots so no one feels rushed like you might at other places.
I wanted to just lately mention that throughout the holiday season, they are doing some various events. I’m going to link these up. Most of them are free, or suggest you purchase photos there. I want to rave about the story time with Mrs. Claus event. It was really, truly so perfect for kiddos 6 & under. My boys loved it. She read about 6 books, they did a free craft, and American Girl had donated books to give away. It is not held at the actual photo area, so it is truly free. I’ve linked up the schedule above, so check that out. It was a really fun little morning outing.
I noticed they have a day when you can bring your photo as well, seriously, that is so adorable. They also have holiday pajama night. Get a photo with Santa in your pajamas, yes please. I love that they are also using their Santa HQ for good as well. Guests are encouraged to grab a heart shaped ornament from the Help through Holiday Giving and help a family in need in our own community.
They will be in Washington Square Mall until December 24, 2017. Go ahead and make your photo reservations now, with packages starting at 39.99. On Black Friday, random lucky shoppers will be surprised with a promotional gift card at the Santa HQ as a part of spreading holiday cheer!
Be sure to check them out in Summit Court or your local mall!
