The New Lightning McQueen Racing Academy In Hollywood Studios!

April 7, 2019

Disclosure: Thanks to Disney for allowing us to visit the parks for the day to experience this new attraction & write about it here for you guys! All opinions expressed are my own.

We had the opportunity to check out the new Lightning McQueen Racing Academy inside of Hollywood Studios. (Located near the Rock n’ Roll Rollercoaster!) My boys have loved Cars for years, so I knew this was an opportunity we wouldn’t be able to turn down!

This is a brand new, super interactive part of Hollywood Studios. On the outside of the theater, you have amazing photo opportunities with some of the race cars.

Once inside, you are able to essentially come alongside Lightning McQueen as he goes through racing simulator with his bestie, Tow Mator. (+ During the excursion, you never know who you might encounter!)

I thought the special effects on this show were remarkable. My four year old sat his mouth open in wander the entire time! He seemed in awe of the ability to be so close to his favorite character!

I think this is a wonderful new addition to Hollywood Studios, and I can see Hollywood Studios becoming more and more smaller child friendly! It’s so fun living closer now, and being able to watch the park evolve. (We are personally most excited for the new Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opening on August 29th.)

If you want more behind the scenes goodness, be sure to check out my friend Meg’s post here!
