I have been seeing mama friends posting on social media, “what the H will I do with my kids this summer?!”

So, I thought I would take some time to help you guys plan out your frugal summer!  A summer that is crazy fun, but doesn’t break the bank.  Share this post with your friends!  

I’ve included free bucket list printables!

Read books (library!)

Make New Recipes (Pinterest! Library Cookbooks)

Splash Pad (Most are free through parks and recreation!)


Summer Reading Programs (Free through libraries and usually have great prizes!)

Vacation Bible Schools (These range in price from free to about 40.00, but offer a less expensive alternative to summer camp and teach kids about God’s love for them! )

Swimming lessons (some communities offer free weeks of swim lessons)

Bowling for free (two free games of bowling per day for kids!)

Kids skate free (roller skating that is free for kids everyday!)

1.00 Summer Movies through Regal – Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.  1.00 movies from Regal!  These are open to kids and their parents!

Sidewalk chalk

Wash the car

Check children’s museums for free/discounted days

Go camping!

Get a free book at Barnes & Noble (kids grade 1-6 can earn free books!)

Playdates at home!

Pick Berries

Make hot dogs and s’mores

free slurpees at seven eleven on 7/11

free chick fila on “dress like a cow day!”

half price shakes after 8:00 p.m. at Sonic

zoo trip (look for free days, discount days, or get a membership! so worth it)

minor league baseball game (cheaper than major league, but just as fun! look for picnic areas at baseball field)
