My review of Oliver! By Cardinal Stage Company!

Disclosure:   I received two complimentary tickets in exchange for a honest review!  All opinions expressed are my own. I had the chance to watch Oliver! yesterday, and it was absolutely amazing.  Cardinal Stage Company always does an amazing job!  This was by far my favorite production they've ever done.  I was mesmerized by the children in this play, they did such a wonderful job.  Such talent in such small people, it was remarkable.  I remember reading, Oliver Twist when I was…

“But it’s not like the pictures”.. a Christmas lesson

Yesterday, the boys and I made a gingerbread house while my husband worked out.  We just bought one of those box kits and got to work.  When I was growing up, I always wanted to build a huge gingerbread house. The super fancy kind with elaborate details, a gingerbread family about the house, and I wanted it to be homemade.  However, there was not a single year that we build a gingerbread house while I lived at home.  Naturally, one thing I was…

What to get mom for the holidays!

Moms take care of everyone and everything, seriously.  We all know that.  So, this year I have created a list of what moms want most for the holiday season.    Spa treatments- facials, massages, pedicures, and manicures.  (Moms need to get pampered, no?!) Hunter boots & Hunter Socks- because being practical can also be stylish! Insta-pot- Moms cook all the time, why not help her out? Fancy towels or sheets that mom wouldn’t normally feel comfortable buying for herself.  (Think…

Getting ready for the week, post holiday.

Thanksgiving was wonderful.  We ate too much, laughed a bunch, and shopped a little.  We were able to get our Christmas tree up, and we received our first Christmas card.  The holiday spirit is beginning to surge through me!  With all that said, this long weekend has me all unorganized!  So, this morning I'm taking a few moments to get organized and prepared for the week. Menu Plan: Breakfasts- will be oatmeal or eggs with fruit. Lunches - salads for mom,…

Happy Thanksgiving!

When I was about six years old, my aunt took me to the community pool.  Up until that point, I was sure I could swim. Upon getting there, I immediately saw a friend from school and he suggested we jump off the low dive.   I had no reason to believe I couldn't swim adequately enough to get from the low dive to the ladder so I went for it.  The whole incident lasted no more than four minutes.  I jumped in,…
