Our 2019 Trip To Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

October 21, 2019

Disclosure: Thanks to Disney for hosting us at the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! All opinions expressed are my own.

Can I just open by saying how grateful I am for the recent opportunity to visit the Magic Kingdom, and attend our first ever Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party?

We had yet to attend a specially ticketed event like this since moving to the area, but I’m so glad we did so that I could hurry home and share with you guys how much we enjoyed our time there. We were able to enter starting at 4:00 pm, with guests who didn’t have tickets leaving at 6:00 pm. So, lines are much shorter from 4:00 pm- midnight (when the park closes.) We were able to get in eight hours of fun, and experience Halloween in a way only Disney came provide.

There were so many magical touches at this party, but for the sake of time I’m just going to share my favorites.

Collecting candy- Disney showed up in the candy front. With the good stuff. If you saw my stories, I shared how much we got. Parents are welcome to trick or treat too. My kids loved having us trick or treat alongside them. I felt like a kid again!

The fall décor is great for photos- We took a lot of cute fall inspired photos, because Disney has the best eye for design. The décor was cute and really gave me a fall mood, even with the nearly 90 temps.

The Halloween touches were really fun. My favorite was Haunted Mansion, the parade, and the BRAND NEW fireworks show. I had hoped to see the characters in costume, but we got busy riding rides and never made it over there.

The Descendants Dance Party- We had never seen this before, but after seeing the dance party we went home and watched all three the next day!

Be sure to check the map for castle show times. I loved seeing the Villians before, and the boys were dancing fools.

Dress for rides! As much as I loved seeing everyone all dressed up, I wanted to dress for comfort! BUT.. truth be told, seeing everyone’s creativity really inspired me.

Speaking of rides- pay attention to the ones that have spooky touches for the season. Those were so fun!

This year’s party goes through 11/1. Some hotels even have special add on packages you can do straight to the room, if you’re looking to celebrate Halloween a little differently this year! If you can’t make it down for this special evet, don’t forget Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party will starting up on November 8th!
