Hey, y’all.

How are you? Like, how are you, REALLY? If someone were to ask me the same question. What would I say? I’d say that I’m content, peaceful, and working towards slower living. I’ve traded my “mom boss” aspirations for slow morning bike rides over to our community Mary garden. It’s so peaceful to me, quiet, isolated, yet safe. These days I’m feeling my heart healing from the physical loss of our sweet foster daughter. It brings me such a joy to see her family thriving and I’m so grateful we get to see her so often.

I’m sure I’m solidifying myself as a basic bitch, but I really do love fall. I love each season and the fresh start feeling it brings. I love the seasonal activities, and I’m hopeful that I’m building my family’s culture as we mark off these October activities, together. We went to the corn maze and pumpkin patch over the weekend. It was soooo fun! Give me all the pumpkin treats and soups and apple cider!

As for me, I’m listening to a book called “People Like Her.” It’s a thriller, I love to read LIGHT thrillers in October. I’m not a big fan of them, typically, but I think they are fun for Halloween.

Lately, something that been in my heart, the knowledge that we are in the “good ole days” right now. The boys are getting so big, and the days just go by so quickly. I’ve been finding myself savoring a little more than I usually do. I have a busy body personality, but I’m allowing myself to stop the go, go, going and focus more on being present. Have an amazing month friends, stay tuned for fun fall content on Instagram!
