I’m a very social person, a real outgoing extrovert. As you guys know my family left our home for a three month trip in Portland, Oregon. I have been missing my incredible friends and the wonderful village we’ve built in the Midwest over the last four years. The first weeks here were a bit lonely, but I eventually made two remarkable friends. We’ve had so much fun this summer exploring the community together! We’ve spent many mornings at pools, parks, or the zoo. I just really wanted to host a casual party to celebrate: the amazing summer we’ve all had, the memories we’ve made, and the new friendships we’ve built.
We had a simple pajama party with OREO Thins, my favorite mama snack! I love to enjoy them while the boys nap and I read a book, or I’ll have a couple after bedtime. They’re thin, crisp, and delicate! I grabbed several flavor options from Fred Meyer. My absolute favorite grocery store, did I mention they have childcare?! You’ve probably noticed I love Kroger and their banner stores. They are affordable, always friendly, and so clean!
We picked up Original, Chocolate, and Gold flavors. Three flavors no mama would turn down. The idea was to just pamper ourselves with face masks and relax before we start the process of packing and driving back to our hometowns. Each guest got an individual package of OREO Thins and a easy to duplicate hand scrub! I make these hand scrubs for every party I have to give out as favors. Pumpkin scrubs for my pumpkin party, peppermint scrub for my holiday gifts, and vanilla bean scrub for mom’s morning with coffee and muffins! I thought this hand scrub and a package of OREO Thins would be the perfect reminder to my mama friends to dedicate some time to themselves! As moms, we are always caring for the other members of our family. It’s easy to forget to fill our own tanks! So, I love to encourage my mom friends to put their oxygen masks on first, so to speak!
Empty glass jars
Dish Soap in a scent you love
Oil (I prefer Coconut oil, but used Olive Oil for recipe!)
I add 1/3 the jar size of each and stir. You can do various essential oils, flavors of dish soap, or different kitchen spices to get your perfect scent for the occasion. It’s so easy, and always enjoyed by party guests.
