I have always wanted hardwood floors! I absolutely love the way they look and how streamlined they feel throughout a home. However, we have a seventy pound Siberian husky that sheds soooo much. Keeping those floors fresh and clean is a tricky balance. Today, I’m sharing some easy things you can do to stay ahead of the mess. I tried a Bona last year for the first time, and have found it to be the most important tool in preserving my hardwood floors, even with two crazy boys and a giant dog tracking around. I love that even my kids can push it around and all the products they offer cover an array of home woes.
1) Have everyone take off their shoes and place them in a specific spot once they’ve entered.
2) Put the kids and your Bona to work (it’s specially designed no residue formulation effectively removes dust, dirt and grime leaving your floors clean and beautiful, and the GREENGUARD GOLD certification confirms it’s safe for use in your home and around your family!!!)
3) When you walk your dog, brush him outside. My family is notorious for petting our dog and letting his fur fly, but lately I have been having everyone brush him outdoors to reduce some of the fur before we even make it inside.
4) Set aside 15 minutes increments throughout the day to tackle smaller projects.
