Five Things You Have To Watch This Holiday Season!

December 3, 2019

I love television.
I’m just going to say it. Yes, me– the big advocate for the screen free life, the unplugged, restful life. I love movies. I love to get wrapped up in beautifully written tv shows that make me think, laugh, cry, and the like.

So, I thought it would be fun to share some of the best shows and movies I’ve watched recently:

1) Christmas Town on Hallmark Channel. I watched this movie last night, and absolutely adored it. Watch it soon.

it was THAT adorable.  And heart warming and good, and I just loved it so incredibly much.  Please go watch it.

Klaus- I saw a lot of people posting about this one, so the boys and I checked it out one rainy evening last week after school.  I’m so glad we did.  IT was heartwarming and sweet, and represented the spirit of Christmas so beautifully.  It was perfect to watch with the kids, but it still spoke sweet, gentle reminders to the parents in the room to make room for kindness and gratitude this holiday season.

Heartstrings by Dolly Parton on Netflix.  Bless  her heart, ya’ll.  My role model has done it again.  She managed to create a series of stories, based on some of her songs. Well, it had my heart singing.  I loved every episode, I woke up early and stayed up late because I wanted to watch them all.  I will also say I have spent the last week singing 9-5 and I ain’t mad about that.

Noelle- Noelle on Disney Plus is the girl power Christmas movie we have needed our entire lives!  It is so cheery and sweet and joyful.  I loved it from start to finish.  Then, I restarted it, because it made me feel so good I wanted to experience that happiness one more time.

Almost Family- This isn’t a holiday show, but I discovered it amidst my holiday binge.  I had to watch it, because I adore Brittany Snow and Emily Osment, so I believe that whatever they’re in I’ll automatically like. (which proved accurate for this show!)  I don’t know what genre this one falls into, because it’s dramatic– but also funny and even a little romantic. Check out the first episode and let me know what you think.
