Preschool Activities!

I'm talking about things to do with your preschool age kids to keep them busy.  I like to keep my kids busy so they don't argue all day.  I like to leave a lot of their open for playing, but I try to keep more structured activities on deck, too. I try to have something ready for them in the mornings or else they'll just whine and cry to watch television.  The activity above is a crowd favorite.  Just craft…

Sawyer’s Little Bedroom!

Soy Bean has a strangely small bedroom. Or Liam has a huge bedroom... I'm still trying to figure that part out. I love this little bedroom though. It is the bedroom I've snuggled both of my sweet boys in, I guess it is my family's nursery. It is pretty bare these days since Sawyer has been in a toddler bed since he was about fourteen months old. His bed was a hand me down pottery barn bed from his Godmother.…

Liam’s dinosaur bedroom!

One homemaking revolution I've experienced this past year is a desire to create a beautiful home, even if we are simply renting.  It is strange to believe we are moving in less than ten months, but that doesn't mean I can't love my home during that time.  This leaves me with some interesting home design diameters.  I don't want to paint, everything needs to be affordable(or free or cheap.), and everything should be portable.  Easily transported to our new home! When…

To my van driving friends, I’m sorry I doubted you.

You guys may have noticed yesterday that I had a flat tire. So, naturally that landed me at the Car Dealership for service between lunch and naptime. Not for the faint of the heart, to be honest. I fed them a fast food lunch there in the customer waiting area, we watched a Paw Patrol, things were going smoothly so I said go ahead and change my oil too! YOLO, right? Let me back up here and tell you I've…

How to maximize your library card!

Yesterday, I gave you a list of good books to read this fall.  Now, let me tell how to stretch your library card further. Put books on hold.  Maybe I'm lazy or easily distressed, but I think it is very helpful to choose my books and place them on hold.  Then, with two boys in tow, I can grab the books I want to read with minimal hassle. Check out brand new DVDs.  These are obviously on a first come,…

Meal Plan Monday! Recipes for the school year!

As we head into the busy season of the first weeks of school, or even just because it's the last weeks of summer and no one wants to waste precious sunshine -indoors preparing food.  I'm going to be some crazy easy meal ideas. Korean Bulgogi.  You'll need to get 2 lbs of Chuck Roast, and cut it have the butcher cut into 1/8 inch super thin tiny pieces.  Marinade- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar, cover the meat in soy sauce,…

Head back to school with ThredUP!!!

It is so believe that it's time to start getting ready for another school year.  Liam is gearing up for his second in preschool and he's so excited! Thred Up sent me some credit to try out their company, and write a review on my experience. I loved this company, and look forward to shopping with them again very, very soon.  I wanted to focus on acquiring clothing for the school year, and they didn't let me down.  Here's…
