It is so hard for me to believe summer is ending in six short weeks here on the West Coast.  I know it is even less for you guys in other parts of the country, so I figured it was appropriate for an official “Back To School” post. This fall, both of my little guys are going to be school part time.  Liam had such a positive experience doing preschool, and I’m happy he will be nearby for Sawyer’s first year.  I like to get gifts for the teachers on the first day, just to encourage them as they begin the new year.  I want them to know, we appreciate them and love them.  They are so valuable in our kids’ lives, and this year I wanted to help ease the burden of purchasing school supplies on them.  I thought it would be fun to create a “paper products” basket.  I always notice paper towels, tissues (because, 3 &4 year olds are snot machines), and even toilet paper are on classroom supply lists.  I just want to help do my part to stock up their classrooms, and alleviate any stress later in the year!  Kleenex® Trusted Care* 3 Bundle Pack, Kleenex® Trusted Care* 4 Bundle Pack, Scott® Tissue 20 Roll Pack, and Viva® Vantage® 6 Big Rolls products make it easier than ever with their double Box Tops promotion right now.  It is seriously so amazing to be able to earn double Box Tops on products for home and school.

Box Tops for Education is a wonderful program that has been around for years, supporting our schools.  Right now, you can give back twice as much with their double program.  It makes me feel so good to know I’m helping my kids’ school, just purchasing every day programs we use at home and at school!  Thankfully, Wal Mart is around every corner and makes it possible to grab the best products!

When I think about how many tissues we use at home with two preschoolers, I cannot imagine how many a school of 40 goes through!
So for my gift basket, I used an old metal basket I had.  Isn’t this thing cute?   I added a bottom layer of toilet paper!

The next layer is of paper towels.

I added some bright and cheerful Kleenex®  tissues!

An open letter to my sons’ teachers:

Thank you for all that you will do this year.  Thanks in advance,  because I know it will be amazing.  You’ve chosen a career that will impact so many.  While I’m at home, mopping in peace for the first time in five years.. you will be supervising 15 small children with paint or shaving cream.  I hope these paper towels make it a little easier at clean up time.  I hope these Kleenex® tissues make another snotty nose more bearable.  I hope you know that aren’t taken for granted, but loved and valued immensely.  I’m trusting you with the most important people in my life, and I know you won’t let me down.  I hope you have the best school year to date, and I hope you’ll fill it with laughter, messes, and good books.  I pray you feel supported by the parents of your students, and each day is a blast.  I wish you a lot of coffee and a happy new school year!
