Disclosure: I received free product from Oriental Trading to put together this blog post! I only partner with companies I love, and all opinions are my own!
Every year for the last six years, we’ve hosted a cookie exchange. The premise is to have people gather together and exchange our favorite homemade cookies and desserts. I love the personal touch, and the way it gives everyone the opportunity to bake their holiday treats they don’t want to eat at home.
We had a hot cocoa bar, which I served up with Peppermint Schnapps for the adults. The kids played, and ate cookies until their stomachs no doubt ached. As a hostess, a cookie exchange is an ideal party. Guests provide the bulk of the book, and I gave everyone adorable bags from Oriental Trading so people could also pack up their own party favors (read: more cookies)
Each kid left with a nativity sticker set and a Christmas ornament picture frame (also from Oriental Trading) I’m going to feature those in tomorrow’s blog post.
I wanted this party to have a very inviting farmhouse vibe. I used green, gold, black, and chalkboard details. The kids loved these plastic mugs for their hot cocoa.
We had such an easy going holiday party filled with sweets and wine. Great company, sweet sugar high kids and their loving parents.
So, grab some simply supplies from Oriental Trading and bake your favorite cookies, invite some good friends and make lifetime memories!
